On 28 November 2022, the digital Session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly will take place.
During the Session, the parliamentarians will discuss GUAM at its 25th Anniversary, cooperation in security and energy crisis conditions, promotion of key economic projects of GUAM and other topics.
The Baltic Assembly at the meeting will be represented by Vice Chair of the Security and Defence Committee Urve Tiidus, Vice Chair of the Health, Welfare and Family Committee Hele Everaus, Vice Chair of the Natural Resources and Environment Committee Ligita Girskienė and Member of the Health, Welfare and Family Committee Linas Slušnys.
Cooperation with the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly started in 2008. The overall aim of parliamentary cooperation between the Baltic Assembly and the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly is to promote the democratic, socio-economic and cultural development of the Baltic and GUAM countries, contribute to the resolution of the protracted conflicts in the GUAM area, and provide political support for regional cooperation from a wider European perspective.
