Summit of the Baltic Assembly and the Nordic Council to be held in Reykjavik

On 9 December 2025, the annual summit of the Baltic Assembly and the Nordic Council will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland. During the summit, parliamentarians will discuss small states in the international system as well as the recent developments concerning the Istanbul Convention. Additionally, parliamentarians will also share the current affairs in Baltic and Nordic politics. 

The topics allow for an exchange on a number of current issues and a discussion on how the Baltic Assembly and the Nordic Council can strengthen their cooperation in the current geopolitical situation while supporting their shared values.

During the summit, the Baltic Assembly will be represented by the President Jānis Vucāns.
