On 12-23 November, the delegation of the Baltic Assembly participated in the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference that was held in Maribo (Denmark).
The Standing Committee focused on increasing interconnectivity and improving defence and regional security. The parliamentarians also discussed the results of the past events, cooperation across the wider region, and further redefining the structure of the organisation.
The parliamentarians from the Baltic Sea states also visited the Danish construction site of the Fehmarn Belt tunnel which aims to improve the connections between Scandinavia and continental Europe.
The Baltic Assembly at the meeting was represented by President Timo Suslov and Vice Presidents Andrius Kupčinskas and Jānis Vucāns.
