Baltic parliamentarians to attend the meeting of the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources

On 17-18 October, the Baltic Assembly will attend the Inter-Parliamentary Meeting on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency organised by the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (EUFORES) and the Danish Parliament, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

Speakers from the European Commission, national governments and leading energy companies will discuss how to manage electricity systems with high shares of renewable power while ensuring security and stability. Topics will include offshore wind development, grid integration and regional cooperation in the North and Baltic Seas. Additionally, the meeting will also address the social and economic dimensions of climate policy, exploring solutions that make the transition fair and inclusive. 

The Baltic Assembly will be represented by the President Jānis Vucāns and Vice President Timo Suslov.
