Member of the Riigikogu and historian Aadu Must was born in Pärnu on 25 March 1951. Aadu Must had served as a member of the Congress of Estonia, the Committee of Estonia, and later as a parliamentarian in the XI, XII, XIII and XIV Riigikogus. Aadu Must was the founding chair of archival studies at the University of Tartu and served as a professor.
Aadu Must has been a member of the Baltic Assembly since 2011. To the members of the Baltic Assembly, Aadu Must was not only a valued member, former chair of the Estonian delegation, long-term member of the Presidium and committed promoter of Baltic cooperation, but also a friend, excellent historian, interesting conversationalist, outstanding politician and true Baltic person that knew all three Baltic anthems by heart and sang them aloud showing the spirit of our Baltic friendship. His contribution to the cooperation of the Baltic States has been paramount for the work of the Baltic Assembly, and honouring the ideas that Aadu Must brought to the Baltic Assembly, we will continue the work he started.
We express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Aadu Must, as well as members of the Estonian delegation of the Baltic Assembly and the whole Estonian Parliament.
