Baltic parliamentarians to discuss cooperation of the Baltic States in the health care sector

On 10 June 2022, the meeting of the Health, Welfare and Family Committee of the Baltic Assembly will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. During the meeting, parliamentarians, government representatives, and experts will focus on the cooperation of the Baltic States in cancer treatment and prevention. Another topic discussed will be the joint projects and procurements of the Baltic States. Lastly, governmental representatives will report on the implementation of the recommendations of the Baltic Assembly in 2021 and plans for 2022 regarding a common Baltic strategy encouraging responsible use of antibiotics and preventing the spread of antibiotic resistance in the region, as well as encouraging joint Baltic projects supporting risk-based and science-based decisions about food safety.
