The Baltic Innovation Prize 2023

The Baltic Innovation Prize is established by the Baltic Assembly and the Baltic Association of Science/ Technology Parks and Innovation Centres (BASTIC) with the goal of recognizing an example of Baltic entrepreneurs who have implemented new economically successful developments in their product(s), service(s) or business model(s). GScan OÜ from Estonia was congratulated as the winner of the prize. GScan uses naturally occurring cosmic ray-induced muons, electrons, and positrons as the source for performing 3D scanning and chemical composition analysis. Utilising a natural source makes every GScan system radiation-safe - no harm to the surrounding people or the environment itself. Their solutions are modular and highly scalable, using the in-house developed 1m x 2m detector array modules.

The national winners and receivers of diplomas were UAB Vilimed from Lithuania, which specialises in the development, certification, and commercialization of innovative medical devices, as well as SIA InPass from Latvia - one of the lead companies, which manufactures time attendance and other smart monitoring solutions in the Baltics.
