On 29 January 2021, the digital meeting of the Security and Defence Committee of the Baltic Assembly will be held.
During the Session, numerous topics will be discussed such as the challenges in border control and crisis management of the Baltic states in the light of COVID-19, including the readiness of cooperation, lessons learned and future preparedness. Another topic to be discussed is cooperation of institutions to fight against cross-border crime of the Baltic states. Parliamentarians will also listen to the status update on nuclear security in the Baltic region.
Digital meeting of the Security and Defence Committee is the first meeting of the Baltic Assembly in 2021. This year the presiding country in the Baltic Assembly is Lithuania.
