Parliamentarians to discuss media and cultural cooperation of the Baltic States

On 3 February 2023, the meeting of the Education, Science and Culture Committee of the Baltic Assembly will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania. During the meeting, parliamentarians, government representatives, and experts will focus on the media cooperation in the Baltic States in the joint fight against disinformation, fostering social resilience and increasing media literacy in the region. Another topic discussed will be the cultural cooperation of the Baltic States and the joint activities for strengthening cultural interconnections and bringing people together. Cooperation of the Baltic States regarding improving vocational and technical education to increase the overall competitiveness in the region will also be assessed. Lastly, governmental representatives will report on the implementation of the recommendations of the Baltic Assembly in 2022 and plans for 2023 regarding the cooperation of the Baltic States to improve scientific capacity and excellence, to meet the challenges in the STEM field, as well as in space.
